I am excited to announce that the upcoming wellness event in Dungarvan will bring together wonderful local therapists to offer a great experience, with all of the proceeds going towards the charity Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).
There are three components of this event:
1. Indian Head massage (10 Minutes)
Niamh Fitzgerald from Niamh Fitzgerald Massage Therapy, and Carol O’Sullivan from Eira Wellness will perform this fantastic relaxing head massage treatment.
2. Group Acupuncture (30 Minutes)
Seamus Fitzgerald from Réiteach Integrative Health will provide a group acupuncture service designed to be a relaxing experience. Please see notice below for further information on group acupuncture.
3. Mini-Life Coaching (10 Minutes)
Sandra O’Donnell will bring her excellent experience to this mini-life coaching session, which will be tailored to each individual.
To book, please use the online calendar below or WhatsApp Seamus on 087 621 3355. Start times will be staggered by 10 minutes for each person to ensure that the event moves as smoothly as possible. Time slots will be allocated on a first-come first-serve basis, so if you are coming as a group be sure to book together.
All therapists are kindly volunteering their time for this great cause, so please be understanding if there are issues with the event, and be sure to discuss any problems you may have with Seamus on the day.
A Note on Group Acupuncture
Group or community acupuncture is when acupuncture treatment is done in a group setting with multiple people at once, rather than on an individual basis.
Due to the nature of group acupuncture, there is not enough time to conduct an individual diagnosis for each person, an important aspect of a standard acupuncture treatment. Instead points are chosen which are generally beneficial for a high-level treatment- for example, relaxation and stress relief. For patients who have had a private consultation and detailed diagnosis already, your personal acupuncture protocol can be provided.
You will be treated in a large room alongside other people while seated or lying in a comfortable recliner chair. You will remain fully clothed and acupuncture needles will only be insert in places that can be easily accessed with your sleeves/trousers rolled up: your arms, hands, lower legs, feet, head and neck.
The environment will be as relaxing as possible, helped along by some soothing background music.
